                    Fellowship

                    Social Life

The Social Life Committee promotes friendship, camaraderie and interaction among parishioners, friends and guests. The committee sponsors leisure activities designed to bring the congregation together in social settings outside of scheduled worship services and liturgical events. The committee selects events to sponsor based upon the event’s appeal to a broad segment of the congregation, the entertainment value of the activity and the ability to deliver the event at a minimal cost to participants and the cathedral.

                    Men's Fellowship

The group is open to all men of the Cathedral. They usually meet the first Monday of the month from September through June. Meetings are held in the Hedberg Room starting at 6:00 p.m. for Social Hour followed by dinner and fellowship. There is no formal agenda or officers...just an informal gathering for the men of the Cathedral to get to know each other and enjoy the evening together.

                    CORD

Christians On the Road to Damascus (CORD) is a group for all single people - men and women - divorced, widowed or never married. Although it is based at St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral, it is open to all Christians. The name reflects the on-going journey back to God. According to the dictionary the acronym: CORD also means “any force acting as a tie or bond.” Baptism unites us - as sisters and brothers in Christ - and together we move forward.

The program for CORD includes opportunities for fellowship - such as potlucks, picnics, theater events, trips, etc. Canon Stanwise and the CORD group meet for a luncheon planning session two to three times a year.

                    Foyer Groups

Foyer groups at St. Paul’s are small groups - generally eight people each - which get together about once every four to six weeks to share a simple meal or dessert, and to talk. They are not intended to DO anything, but simply to BE what Christians are - groups of people who “love one another.” Joining a foyer group is an excellent way to get to know people who may have been only names or faces in the congregation.

                    Spiritual Growth

Spiritual Growth Group is a group which meets for the study and sharing of spiritual resources for the purpose of improving our relationship with Jesus Christ and living out His will in our lives. For more information contact Nancy Wheeler.

                    Women's Fellowship

The group is open to all adult women of the Cathedral. They usually meet the first Wednesday of the month. Gatherings are held in the Cathedral library at 7pm. There is no agenda and there are no officers -- just an informal gathering for the women of the Cathedral to get to know each other while chatting over coffee and dessert.

                    St. Martha’s Guild/Episcopal Church Women

Episcopal Church Women (ECW) unites the women of our parish in a program of worship, fellowship, study and service. All women of the parish are members and encouraged to attend and make themselves known.

The Guild is available to serve at receptions for everything from weddings to funerals for a small fee. St. Martha’s Guild is completely self-supporting, raising funds only through receptions served. The proceeds from these events are used for projects chosen by the Guild members. In May and December, Care Packages filled with cookies candy, etc., are mailed to college students away from home.

St. Martha’s Guild/ECW meets the second Wednesday evening of the month (except during Lent and the summer months) for a catered meal, a short meeting and program, followed by the best companionship available. All meetings are open to anyone interested in attending.
